PHS GROUP
Project 1 - Mental Health Awareness
It was my role to launch phs' mental health awareness, education and support programme. The aim was to start talking more openly about mental health at work and help people realise that it's OK not to be OK.
I wanted to do this in a sincere and real way and make talking about mental health normal and importantly, relatable.
6 people from around the business, including 2 executive team members came forward with different experiences around mental health, and I supported them in telling their stories. I helped each of them write an article and talk about their experiences by listening, building rapport and earning their trust.
The results were phenomenal. The stories had more views, likes and comments than any other campaign I've run at phs. It sparked real engagement where people were interacting on a personal level with each other and also with our leaders.
Crucially, other people in the business went on to talk about their stories, further removing the stigma of discussing mental health in the workplace and in general.
We also hosted a Green Day to show our support to our colleagues and mental health

Project 2 - International Women's Day
For International Women's Day, I wanted to demonstrate that every woman at phs was recognised for this event. Alongside marketing, I used creative that had the names of every single woman that works at phs which was a great piece of recognition. You can see that below
In addition, I shared stories from women around the business to inspire others. These ranged from senior leaders discussing how they had reached their roles, to how the women at phs had pioneered and influenced the period equality campaign in Government, to how women at phs had put their self development first to reach their career goals.
I also worked with our owner Bidvest's CEO Mpumi Madisa to involve her which had never been done before. It was such a great privilege to work wtih her and to have her recognise the great women that work at phs.
Project 3 - phs Leadership Conference
The organisation of this event required me to manage the budget, stakeholders and decision making on all aspects of the event.
I planned a daytime conference that had a mix of presentations from our senior board and workshops to involve our colleagues. Every detail was meticulously planned and collaborated on including the content of the Keynote slides, the production (stage, sound, lighting) and the management of all the delegates.
In the evening, I organised a 3 course dinner, awards ceremony and a comedian compere to entertain the guests.
The feedback on the event was great with many describing it as the best conference they've ever been to at phs.
