WHY AM I AN INTERNAL COMMUNICATOR?
I've always loved writing and as I have progressed in my career, I've realised that what I really love is making connections.
I love Internal Comms as making these connections and putting in place communications rituals, can really help make a difference to people's working lives.
Being involved in helping people feel a sense of belonging at work gives me life! And I really enjoy every minute of it. And who doesn't want to do something they really enjoy?

I've been involved in many different campaigns using a mix of channels including written articles on the Intranet, newsletters or in email, video, print and events.

Here are a couple of the ones I am most proud of.
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
At phs, we had never really discussed our mental health and so I ran a campaign alongside National Mental Health Awareness week to help people realise they were not alone. The week was a great success with some of our internal stories receiving more engagement than ever before.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
I wanted to show support for subjects that were important to our people at phs. IWD was a topic that is important to our business as we are the thought leaders externally on period poverty and have been the partner for the DfE getting free period products in to schools.
PHS LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
I organised a daytime conference and evening dinner and awards ceremony for 100 of our most senior people. It was my role to work on all aspects of the day and evening including content, delegate management and experience people had at the event.

WELLNESS AT THREE
It was my job to ensure all communications and engagement activities at Three felt fun and importantly inclusive. It was about helping people realise that wellness is more than just eating an apple and going for a run.

I developed 3 pillars of wellness - Energise, Connect, and Balance to demonstrate this.

Some of my proudest wellness contributions were the development and delivery of Three's mental health strategy and our very first Wellness Week, both of which went on to win external awards.

PHONES ARE GOOD
For 18 months, I was Comms Business Partner to our marketing function. The role I played was to turn our employees into brand ambassadors and connect them with what Three were doing externally.

Phones Are Good was a unique internal campaign as I wanted to do it a bit differently.
I decided to get internal insight and ask our employees what they used their phones for and why they were good. It was a risk as the whole campaign would fail if no-one replied, but it felt like a risk worth taking.
TELCO CLOUD CORE NETWORK LAUNCH
This project was part of our transformation and it was one of the most complex projects I've been part of.

The task was to help our people understand what a Telco Cloud Core network was, how it would improve customer experience and take them on an exciting journey for this world first.

I also had to onboard people on to our staff trial until we had over 3,500 people taking part in the trial, keep them informed on our progress and help them see how their feedback was making a difference.
